I grew up in Ithaca, and loved computers from an early age, starting one of the first computer Bulletin Board Systems in Ithaca back in 1985, when few people knew what the Internet was, and 300 baud modems were trendy. From there, I spent eight years at IBM in North Carolina, learning about excellence in customer service and supporting laptops, desktops, servers, operating systems, networks, and systems management software over the phone and electronically. Finally, I decided it was time to return to my roots and hometown, and moved back to Ithaca to join Computer Gurus during the summer of 2003.
